Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton recently visited a housing project in Africa. The housing project was built by poor women who told Clinton of their horror stories. Clinton hopes to bring these women and their rights to the forefront of U.S. aid programs. In the first five months of her position as secretary of state, Clinton has already used the words "woman" or "women" at least 450 times in public comments, double her predecessor Condoleeza Rice. Clinton strives to make women a more central focus point in the government. She said of meeting with the women of the housing project, "It feeds my heart."

  1. It sad how many of our soldiers are still dying over there some eight years later. It's even sadder that very few news outlets are covering the war anymore.
